Prime Minister Theresa May, who is also the local MP for Maidenhead, joined franchisee Atul Pathak and Senior Vice President of McDonald’s Alistair Macrow to officially unveil the new look restaurant on Maidenhead High Street. Following significant investment from local franchisee Atul Pathak, the restaurant now boasts several digital major features designed to enhance local customer experience, and has also created an extra 20 jobs for the local area, taking the Maidenhead restaurant to 70 employees.
McDonald’s franchisee Atul Pathak started his career as a McDonald’s franchisee 15 years ago and now runs 29 restaurants across North and West London and into Berkshire, including the restaurant on Maidenhead High Street. “The support we have received from Theresa May in her role as both our local MP and Prime Minister is fantastic. This investment is a real vote of confidence in the High Street and The Prime Minister’s continued support for local businesses in Maidenhead is invaluable. We look forward to continuing to work with her to benefit the area and residents of Maidenhead” he said. Theresa May said: ‘I’m delighted that the newly refurbished McDonald’s has created 20 new jobs for Maidenhead.’ The new restaurant also allows McDonald’s crew to widen their skill set.
