Voice of Dalit, a recent Atul Pathak Community Award Winner celebrates with their own awards
Voice of Dalit International, which was recently awarded one of the 2nd Atul Pathak Community Awards, held their own awards ceremony recently.
The Southall based charity was given a financial award that will help them greatly to maintain their current staffing levels with an additional tutor as well as make a contribution towards new tuition books for the September school term.
Dalit recently held their awards ceremony at Holy Trinity Church Hall in Southall, which was attended by the our Mayoress and the Mayor’s Consort of Ealing, Councillors Dheer and other guests.
Dalit’s peer children, who support the reading groups, lead the programme and the children themselves showcased their reading and writing skills to parents and guests and received their book awards and certificates.
At the end a buffet was laid on which included food from the Hanwell McDonald’s Iron Bridge restaurant that is franchised and operated by Appt Corporation.
