Atul Pathak OBE, Managing Director of Appt Corporation, the UK’s largest McDonald’s franchise, has spoken of how proud he is that his company is the Platinum Sponsor for the Team of the Year category at the Pride of Bracknell Forest Awards 2019. Atul has described the Awards as a “great way to celebrate achievements in the community, something that goes to the heart of our company ethos.”
The Pride of Bracknell Forest Awards, founded in 2005, commends community achievements of exceptional individuals in fields as wide as charity, education and sport. They celebrate people who have gone the extra mile in contributing to quality of life in the region.
Appt Corporation has 37 McDonald’s restaurants in London and Berkshire, including two in Bracknell at the Lexicon Shopping Centre and The Keep. The franchise is well-known for its support for local charities and its commercial focus on staff development, investing in its workforce and being a responsible member of the communities it operates in.
Appt Corporation also donates and fundraises regularly for the Ronald McDonald House Charities, a country-wide organisation made up of teams of dedicated and hardworking individuals, with the aim of ensuring sick children can be near their loved ones.
On his sponsorship of the Awards, Atul commented: “We’re delighted to support the Awards as a Platinum Sponsor for the Team of the Year category because my company is shaped around great teams doing great work. Bracknell is a fantastic place to live and do business in and I’m delighted we add to the area with our two restaurants at the Lexicon and The Keep, providing great customer service as well as employing and developing local people.
“The Awards are a truly superb way to celebrate achievements in the community, something that goes to the heart of our company ethos. I’d like to wish everyone involved the very best of luck for the Awards in the Team of the Year category!”
